To specify Altera Quartus II as the synthesis tool for a DUT subsystem, myDUT:

hdlset_param (myDUT, 'SynthesisTool', 'Altera Quartus II')

To set this property, use hdlset_param or makehdl. To view the property value, use hdlget_param.
